The Search for the First Philippine Pastry Master

The search for the Filipino talent worthy of becoming the countrys FIRST true pastry master.

The first pastry and bakery arts school in the country, the Academy of Pastry and Bakery Arts Philippines, has an advocacy to achieve. Its about giving pastry chef aspirants who cannot afford to pay for a good pastry arts education a chance to live their dreams. The Academys illustrious roster of world renowned Pastry Masters will be participating in the project.

All of them are gathered together with one vision to UPLIFT THE FILIPINO PASTRY CHEF by grooming a FIRST FILIPINO PASTRY MASTER.

Who are we looking for

  • Open to all Filipinos with a background in baking and pastry (non-professional level).

    They could be working in local community bakeries, mothers, or anybody who is passionate about baking and pastry.

  • At least 18 (on March 2016) up to 25 years old
  • Must be a Filipino citizen
  • Must be willing to provide information requested by the Organizers in relation to the competition

How to join

Aspiring participants must submit the following :

  • Duly accomplished online registration form
  • Recent 2×2 photo*
  • Photocopy of an ID, either government issued (Driver’s license, BIR ID, SSS, Postal ID or passport) or company ID*
  • Signed consent/agreement letter (To be provided by the organizers during the interview)*

* Items to be submitted upon confirmation by the organizers.

THE PRIZES

Grand prize

The Grand prize winner will receive a six-month scholarship at the Academy of Pastry and Bakery Arts Philippines.
Attendance to an all expense paid trip to Malaysia to take two Master Classes to be held this October 2016.

 

 

 

 

1st Runner Up

The 1st Runner Up will win a three-month scholarship at the Academy worth Php150, 000.

More prizes await the winners and recipients of special awards like Kitchen gadgets and equipment.

JFA was awarded the title: Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France en Septembre 2000 patisserie confiseries, which makes him one of the Best Chefs of France for Pastry and Confectionary.
He worked as Executive Pastry Chef in Michelin Star restaurants and hotels all over the world.

He is the Managing Director of the Academy.
He is an award-winning Pastry Chef, who worked with some of the world’s top hotel chains such as the Oberoi Resorts and The Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

He has been opening team member of many luxury hotel and resorts in India. He is very well traveled and trained under some of the great Pastry Chefs, MOF & World Champions.
